How does it work?
Galerie Sehnsucht is structured around a model of participation. We do “call for entries” to make an exhibition, and you participate by sending in images and paying a small amount for the costs. Out of many of these small amounts we will be able to fund the gallery as a whole. For you, the cost is small, and we will have a jury select the winning images. The winning images will make up the exhibition. Check out our latest call here.

Who can enter?
Galerie Sehnsuchts looks for high quality photographical (lens based) from emerging or well-established talent. Submission to a Galerie Sehnsucht call is open to artists and collectives from around the world. There is no age restriction for artists, but submittors must at least be 18 years of age.
How many images can I submit?
Entrants are welcome to make one or more submissions. The non-refundable fee is € 15,00 for 1 work, € 20,00 for 2-3 works and € 25,00 for 4-6 works. The fee is to be paid on submission.
How do I submit?
Please pay your entry fee first. Payments are made by Paypal or by bank transfer to our bankaccount (See at the bottom of this page). Send a screenshot of your payment together with your image files by e-mail to email@example.com. Indicate the name of the call in the subjectline. The submitted image-files should be saved at 72 dpi in JPG-format. The files must be titled with the photographers’s last name, a title and – if applicable – a sequential image number. For example: yourlastname_title_01.jpg. Please use no further underscores and the Western alphabet so we can read it. Your submission e-mail should include: your name, full address and country; your website address; titles of the included works with the correct corresponding filenames, the measurements of the work(s), edition numbers and price. Furthermore we would appreciate an ‘About the artist’ (anything you think is worth knowing to us. You can include education, exhibition history, publication, but also your drive as an artist) in max. 150 words; and Project details (a brief description, theme or central idea of the submitted work) in max. 250 words.
What do we do for you?
If your work is selected for the exhibition we will contact you immediately, after which you have 1 week to submit your work. You can send in your own print, but using our own printing service might be easier and cheaper for you in the end. If you opt to let us print your work, you will receive a password to an orderpage where you can choose from a variety of fine art prints. Your work will be on show in our galerie and presented in a professional way. Galerie Sehnsucht will do its utmost to sell your work. Exhibition prints made by Galerie Sehnsucht will be kept in store for a year and will still be on sale. Galerie Sehnsucht takes a commission of 35%. After the work has been in store for a year we will ask you if you want to own the print. In that case the photographer can collect the print. The website of Galerie Sehnsucht will function as a virtual gallery for a long time. All (past) exhibitions will have their own webpage, so all photographs can still be seen by collectors, curators and gallery managers when the exhibition is closed. Of course Galerie Sehnsucht will exert itself for your name and fame – even when the show is over.
